Tempranillo often ripens earlier that most other red varieties and it is one of Spain's noble grape varieties. This variety is an exciting wine with good colour, low acid/tannins. The palate, earthy with wild fruit aromas. The grapes from this wineare sourced from the iconic Carabobla Vineyard in Lovedale, Hunter  Valley.

James Halliday Australian Wine Companion

Rated in the same early ripening group as pinot noir, tempranillo has no business being in the Hunter Valley, let alone producing a wine with this depth of crimson colour; it has exceptional drive, line and length, bursting with cherry fruit. No one could fail to enjoy this wine.
